America is the first choice for education. All the formalities are to be done thro' United States Educational Foundation in India. No agent is appointed by USA (the government), but there are agents of the universities. USA is generally preferred for Business Management and Finance. American universities offer 4-5 year degree courses.
Expenses :
To apply for any college / university generally fee is US $ 25-100.
You have to appear for and pass 3 exams namely SAT, SAT (Subject) and TOEFL.
Most of the universities accept applications only from the students who have passed SAT and TOEFL.

Australia is preferred for Accounting, IT, Hotel Management, Design, Tourism, Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, Oceanography, Applied Science.
Australian universities offer 3-4 years degree courses or 2 year vocational course after which degree course can be done.
Expenses :
Applications are invited during Feb and Jul every year. Fees for application are 40-125 US $ .
You have to appear 3 hours IELTS exam, fees of which is Rs. 7200.00.
You have to be insured under Overseas Students' health cover, premium of which is US $ 312.00
To get visa may take 4-8 weeks after you submit all the papers and its fee is US $ 450.00
College fee is about 4 Lacs and other expenses like lodging boarding is Rs. 7 Lacs ! Yes, it's more than that in USA.

Same as in USA, but here you will get US $ 10-15 per hour.
General :
Government gives loan of 85 % of fees and lodging and boarding and to and fro expenses at an interest of 11-14 % .
Maximum loan given is Rs. 25 Lacs. If it is more than Rs. 7.50 Lacs, then you have to mortgage fixed asset(s) or FD, bonds issued by government or saving certificates.
