Airtel is cheating

My husband is subscriber of Airtel and using prepaid sim card.

Airtel started sending messages to his mobile. Airtel neither sent a message what is this and what will be the charges. So he thought it is a free service from Airtel.

After a month or so, he received a message "Your subscription to CHRISTIAN ALERTS has been renewed. Thank You! Rs. 7 has been deducted from your a/c." After a week again he received the same message.

Then he called to "Customer care" number. As usual they replied you may have activated the service, otherwise we do not charge you.

Few sentences from the operator.

  • "Why you didn't call us when the service was free ??"
  • "You have utilized the service, so money can't be refunded to your a/c" answer to my husband's question "Will I get the refund of the money deducted from my a/c? "
So, if they activate a service which you don't want, you have to call them and waste about half an hour to get an operator on the line and even after that the operator will talk here and there to you but without a solution of your problem. And if the problem is not solved from their side, they will charge you, which is not refundable.

At last, he had to request (they use this word) to deactivate the service. The operator said within twenty-four hours your service will be deactivated.

Next week again the same message was received and when contacted, the operator said, here it shows the service is deactivated, but I can't tell why the amount is deducted from your a/c. Again, he told within 24 hours, we will check and you will receive a call from our back office.

By God grace, he is earning well, Rs. 7 is not a problem, but question here is : Can they activate any service (free or paid) without our permission ? Even the court has given us the right to register "Do Not Call". That means they do not have any right. Even if the amount deducted from your a/c illegally, they are not supposed to refund it.

If you had any problems with Airtel or any other service provider, write in "Comment" and hope some day any Airtel officer will read it.

Now you must have the idea, how they profit more.......................

Pakistani Military Dictators

Ayub Khan (1958 - 1969) : Ayub Khan's military career was not so outstanding, he was promoted over several senior officers with distinguished careers. However, he became a powerful politician within a short span of time. In 1958, Oct 7, the president Mirza Iskander declared marshal law. As chief of the military, Ayub Khan became chief marshal law administrator. Later he kicked Mirza Iskander and became president of Pakistan. Ayub Kkhan ruled for 11 years and introduced industrial reforms and agricultural development. After war with India in 1965, India defeated Pakistan. That was the start of Ayub Khan's fall.

Yahya Khan (1969-1971) : The then chief of army Yahya Khan came into power on March 25, 1969. His major achievement was the holding a fair elections in 1970. The Pakistan People’s Party emerged victorious in West Pakistan while the Awami League won from East Pakistan. However, before the transfer of power, a war between Pakistan and India broke out in December 1970. Pakistan faced defeat in the war. The eastern part of the country was separated. The people of Pakistan were angered over the defeat. Yahya handed over power to Bhutto and resigned on December 20, 1971.

Though Zulfikar Bhuto was not a military chief, he ruled Pakistan for 6 years as a dictator.

Zia-Ul-Haq (1977-1988) : Pakistan National Alliance was defeated in Election in 1977, but they blamed Bhuto for unfair election. The then chief of army ordered to arrest Bhuto and pushed Pakistan under marshal law again. Bhuto was hanged. In 1988, he died in a plane crash.

Pervez Mushrraf (1999 - 2008) : General Pervez Musharraf came into power through a coup on October 12, 1999. He overthrew the government of prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Though Musharraf did not impose martial law, he became the chief executive of the country, a post that was created for the first time.
Recently i.e. on 18-08-2008 he has resigned. He has gifted India the war of Kargil.

Out of 61 years of independence, Pakistan was under dictatorship for 11+2+11+9 = 33 years. Bhuto ruled for 6 years. This period, in no way, was better than that of a dictator. If it is added to the above figure. It comes to 39 years. What an independence! None of the above was interested in maintaining good relation with India.
